When considering public transportation options, no idea should be left off the table for discussion, as DC Councilwoman Mary Cheh is quoted as recommending pursuing seemingly senseless ideas:

A “feasibility study” for the non-feasible idea would cost around $200,000, the WaPo reported.

Cheh’s quote is emblematic of the problem in government, but might at the same time place her among elite company:
