During brief remarks today regarding reports of Russian troops entering the Crimea region of Ukraine, President Obama said he was “deeply concerned” about the situation:

US "deeply concerned" by repts of Russian military mvments in Ukraine: Obama.Violation of Ukraine's sovereignty wd be "deeply destabilizing"

However, the Obama administration has reportedly categorized Russia entering Ukraine as an “uncontested arrival” instead of an invasion:

Admin officials tell CNN's Barbara Starr this is an "uncontested arrival" not necessarily "an invasion" and that this distinction is "key."

So people in Crimea welcomed Russian troops?

@vplus @barbarastarrcnn So they were LIBERATED! YAY! FREEDOM! We can all go home now!

@vplus @allahpundit @barbarastarrcnn so they greeted the Russians as liberators?

Video from CNN:

Here’s a very good question:

If Russia’s merely doing what Crimea wants, why is Obama “deeply concerned”? https://t.co/jrhZqEFqt0
