POTUS tweet assures us Biden's working hard to make sure Americans keep living paycheck to paycheck

Before getting to the POTUS tweet in question, here’s just a quick reminder that well over half of Americans have money invested in the stock market:

Gallup finds 58% of Americans reporting that they own stock, based on its April Economy and Personal Finance survey. This is slightly higher than the 56% measured in 2021 and 55% measured in 2020 but is not a statistically meaningful increase.

Stock ownership was more common from 2001 to 2008 when an average 62% of U.S. adults said they owned stock — but it fell after the 2007-2009 recession and has not fully rebounded.

Gallup’s measure of consumer stock ownership is based on a question asking respondents about any individual stocks they may own, as well as stocks included in a mutual fund or retirement savings account, like a 401(k) or IRA.

Now, right on cue, President Biden and whoever runs the POTUS account are coming along to “help” us again and appear set on making it easier for every to keep loving paycheck to paycheck:

Really? Gee, thanks Joe!

And the Biden White House wonders why we don’t thank them enough.

Cradle-to-grave government dependency is a feature not a bug for Democrats like those in the Biden administration.

Heaven forbid you also have a “stock portfolio” to retire on.

“Build Back Better” is going just great.

It’s too bad we can’t harness the power of all the gaslighting that comes from the Biden White House. America’s energy needs would be met for generations.
