WaPo reports it's Republicans who have 'thrust gas stoves... into the culture wars'

This week, out of nowhere, reports that the Biden administration was eyeing banning gas stoves made the rounds accompanied by libs parroting talking points about how they’re bad for peoples’ health:

From the New York Post earlier this week:

The Biden administration is considering a nationwide ban on gas stoves — citing the harmful pollutants released by the appliances, according to a report.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is mulling the action after recent studies showed emissions from the devices can cause health and respiratory problems, Bloomberg reported Monday.

“This is a hidden hazard,” CPSC Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. told the outlet. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”

As the backlash started, the chair of the Consumer Product Safety Commission said the agency has no plans to ban gas stoves.

Now the Washington Post has a report out that is basically another variation of “Republicans pounce,” except this time conservatives are thrusting:

The angle on the story has definitely been given a forced pivot:

Lefties in the current administration were talking about doing away with gas stoves but sure, let’s make the story about the Republican reaction!

They’re so predictable.

Ah, “journalism.”
