Monica Crowley can't help but notice that EU authoritarians are recycling the term 'flatten the curve'

The United States is currently on about the 130th week of “two weeks to flatten the curve,” and everybody knows how effective that was. However, many say that the Covid era was just a training run for future lockdowns that the Left will use to control the population in the name of confronting other ostensible threats to “public health and safety.”

With that in mind, Monica Crowley spotted evidence that authoritarians are making a pivot with the term “flatten the curve”:

Well, at least the EU leadership is shoring up their “environmentalist” cred by recycling.

They should be forced to change this term to “flatten the economy,” because that’s the only thing it accomplishes, whether it’s applied to Covid, climate change or anything else.
