As we told you earlier, there was a huge win for the 2nd Amendment after it was announced that the Supreme Court, in a 6-3 ruling, struck down a New York gun control law that required people to show “proper cause” to get a license to carry a handgun outside the home. The ruling will affect similar laws in several other states. The case was New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen.
HUGE win for Americans and their Second Amendment rights at SCOTUS

Meanwhile, over on CNN, legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin didn’t like the ruling at all. Toobin even made up things that weren’t even in the ruling to try and make the future sound scarier:

Wait, who said anything about getting rid of background checks? Toobin also seemed surprised that the majority on the Court had the audacity to consider the 2nd Amendment to be on par with all other Amendments.
1. The Supreme Court is not "moving" in a direction. It rules on cases that come to it.
2. What the heck is a "first class" right?

And what’s up with the “first-class rights” thing? Naturally libs like Toobin would like to be the ones to decide which constitutional rights are the “important” ones.
There are not 1st class rights and 2nd class rights – there are just rights that are protected by the constitiution. https://t.co/ksEA8o0kYJ
