The interim Ottawa police chief has warned those participating in the Freedom Convoy that authorities are going to remove children from the area before the police move in to break up the protest:

The Ottawa police are also trying to keep the media away, warning that even the press could be arrested for the crime of covering the story:
All media who are attending the area, please keep a distance and stay out of police operations for your safety. Anyone found within areas undergoing enforcement may be subject to arrest. There will be a media availability later today at 474 Elgin Street. #ottnews

For some reason they really don’t seem to want people to see what might be about to happen.
Trudeau won’t allow anyone to document his tyrannical enforcement activities. Straight out of the CCP playbook. https://t.co/HxGw65vAut

Yeah God for bid there’s some transparency and accountability for your actions

Hmm, rounding up the media. This sounds familiar. Very 1930s Russia.

Wow.
Hey guys. We’re shutting down free speech. No more reporting, okay? It’s “for your safety”. https://t.co/s8MG2iaobG

Just coincidentally, “for your safety” is the reason they expect everybody to obey anything they say under the guise of keeping people healthy.
Warning journalists about safety risks in the protest zone is reasonable. Threatening them with arrest for doing their jobs is not.
Time and time again, Canadian courts have ruled against exclusion zones and other limits on the press. #cdnpoli https://t.co/IV7shuibMz

Media exclusion zones are unconstitutional, Courts have repeatedly found. #cdnmedia @caj https://t.co/GNe2bB7lTv

Trudeau and the Ottawa police don’t seem to care.
All media should be able to freely report what @OttawaPolice are doing. https://t.co/HqWeo657tP

If the truckers are the “bad guys” here (as Trudeau wants everybody to believe) wouldn’t the Canadian authorities want media coverage?
Canada is turning to complete 💩 under this leadership! https://t.co/ROZ3feMlXn

Arrest dissenting journalists, distribute government talking points to state-approved journalists. https://t.co/A865EaMOV7

That certainly appears to be the case.
