PGA golfer Richy Werenski finished the 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota tied for third place with several other golfers.
A writer for Golf Digest also shared a detail about what Werenski was wearing — or more importantly, where he was wearing it:

So it’s come to this.
**clutching my pearls**
Please. Stop trying to shame people every single minute of the day. https://t.co/rjsS9fOPEK— Angela.Kay (@DeepSouthProud) July 27, 2020
Good for him. More people should be showing their appreciation for police who put their lives on the line to protect us. https://t.co/eDX6XSshSy

I always laugh when some reporter gets excited because he thinks he's witnessed a cancelable offense and sends some insufferably self-righteous tweet in hopes people will will notice him.
Nice try Joel. Better luck with the next meaningless accusation.

For many, sports becoming more about politics than the games has become tiresome.
20 minutes outside the Democrat county & city where it happened.
In a GOP county & city, that is…#SmartTake, Joel.https://t.co/8lWiJLhFz6

This is why Sports Media is dying. Cannot keep Liberal politics out of sports https://t.co/ZXd4315JOn

Seriously what's your point?
That thin #BlueLine is increasingly the ONLY thing standing between America as we know and love it – and total anarchy. The fact that a tiny fraction of officers commit wrongful deeds does not alter the fact that 99% are heroes. https://t.co/2Tfhdf069S

Doesn't say that his grandparents were police officers and his cousins are active officers now, maybe it's just him showing them support as his family never did any wrong while in the force? https://t.co/awGv3MosPd

Hey Joel, he's been wearing that wristband for years…nice work getting all the pertinent information before trying to out him.

Eventually that background was shared:
FWIW Werenski has been wearing the band as far back as the '17 John Deere Classic https://t.co/abVlrtt6bR pic.twitter.com/v7yVX2C6XG

And of course the two tweets followed a usual pattern:
Funny how the tweet has a fraction of the visibility of the first. Maybe reply to your first with this rather than a quoted RT? ?♂️

Jim Acosta and others also know how that game is played.
