News that the businessman behind Soul Cycle donated to President Trump’s re-election campaign caused Michael Moore to announce he was canceling his membership (pause for laughter), and Mika Brzezinski did the same.
Notorious document examiner and former anchor of the CBS Evening News, Dan Rather, asked a question about a possible boycott while in no way trying to encourage it (nudge nudge):
So Stephen Ross, the owner of SoulCycle, the Miami Dolphins, and Equinox Fitness is hosting a big fundraiser for Trump. Many of his customers aren't happy. People can't vote out the president at the ballot box until next November. Will they vote with their pocketbooks sooner?

Anybody surprised Rather’s question didn’t also include a business owned by a Dem donor just to balance things out?
How dare someone owns a business who doesn't vote how you like. https://t.co/TldYJjDmb9

The fact that Dan Rather is taken seriously by anyone, is all you need to know about journalistic “ethics”. https://t.co/QyzXxfQwar

Dan thinks that he's sending out a dog-whistle to boycott Stephen Ross' businesses. He doesn't realize that he's actually helping Ross. Americans choose prosperity over bullying. https://t.co/obEW0rrVZi

And of course Rather’s tweet got many members of the Resistance energized for a boycott, because “journalism”!
