President Trump’s tweets Saturday launched backlash from triggered Democrats and some in the media who immediately started circling the wagons around Rep. Elijah Cummings and his Baltimore district. Instead of reporting Trump’s claims as incorrect or exaggerations, the Associated Press seems to have found a spin that concedes Trump’s point while also blaming his family for part of the problem:
