As Twitchy told you earlier today, former FBI Director James Comey was on “CBS This Morning” where he criticized President Trump for citing a NY Times report saying the FBI spied on the Trump campaign ahead of the 2016 election. Comey claimed that the FBI doesn’t “spy” but rather “investigates.” Did those interviewing him challenge what Comey had to say? Becket Adams broke down what Comey was asked by the new anchor of the CBS Evening News, Norah O’Donnell:

I *like* the FBI. I like law enforcement in general (though reform is clearly needed). But there’s a difference between respect & ass-kissing. Journos are supposed to hold powerful institutions & their leaders accountable, not shower them w/ adulation like they’re Mother Teresa.
