Yikes! Time Mag correspondent dialed the AOC cheerleading up a notch on MSNBC [video]

As we told you yesterday, Time Magazine correspondent Charlotte Alter’s article and Twitter spin for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (with a thumbs-up from AOC herself) caused a lot of eyes to roll. Here’s how it played out:

In order to understand @aoc, you have to look at what she experienced— and what she didn’t. Red Scare, Reaganomics & prosperous 90s were all before her time. Her adulthood was defined by financial crisis, debt & climate change. No wonder she and her peers are moving left

Yes, and this is not just my story – this is true of wide swaths of our entire generation, who are now poised to become a much more influential civic + electoral bloc as we mature into our 30s & beyond. https://t.co/qevFkieFzk

Later on MSNBC, Alter ramped the AOC hype up even more:

Velshi on AOC's tweet about her TIME profile: "She's almost suggesting her ascent is inevitable."

Charlotte: "Honestly, it is." https://t.co/KHO5oSRH1V

This is why journalists shouldn’t report on their crush https://t.co/KHO5oSA6an

Watch below. Keep in mind this is Time Mag’s national political correspondent:

.@CharlotteAlter, just reporting the facts: Trump's "rooted in 20th century ways of thinking, and the thing about AOC, and the reason she's tapping into something that's exciting … she's really bringing us into the politics of the 21st century." pic.twitter.com/mHaUwxxkRA

Wow.

Find some who writes about you like Charlotte does AOC https://t.co/KHO5oSRH1V

If only! As for the claim that AOC is “bringing us into the politics of the 21st century”…

By bringing us to the very old politics of the 20th century…

"Reaganism is dead. The GOP are the party of no ideas. Now let me tell you about Engels, this old dead white guy…"

— Mr. Cain Thaler (@Mr_Cain_Thaler) March 22, 2019

Communism was huge in the 20th century.

“Journalism” in the 21st century has become a total joke thanks to that kind of “reporting.”
