Count former CBS News anchor Dan Rather among journos coming to the defense of CNN’s Jim Acosta after the White House yanked his press credentials. The newsman known by many as the Godfather of Fake News had a message for Republicans after CNN’s activist reporter was denied access to the White House:
News the White House pulled Jim @Acosta’s credentials is not an attack on one journalist but all of the press. There should be complete solidarity. This is a moment for any Republican who says they believe in the Constitution to stand up.

We’re not experts but we’re pretty sure there’s not a constitutional right for the press to grandstand in the White House.
Missed your outrage during the Obama years. https://t.co/IUkBru3DDF

Rather’s tweet has served up another nominee for entry into the “he should sit this one out” Hall of Fame.
