As Twitchy told you yesterday, Hawaii Democrat Sen. Mazie Hirono won a big round of Resistance applause after announcing her refusal to meet with SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Also getting in on the act is Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Ed Markey, who helped show that the talking points have made the rounds on the Dem side in the Senate:
I will not take a meeting with Brett Kavanaugh. He has been nominated by someone implicated, and all but named as a co-conspirator, in federal crimes.
His nomination is tainted and should be considered illegitimate.

Jim Geraghty dropped a heavy curtain on this particular drama:
Why does your refusal to meet with Kavanaugh matter? You announced your opposition to him literally the night he was nominated. https://t.co/ahnolGuZpi

Ha! All these theatrics from Dems over a nominee they have zero chance of voting for are quite comical.
Oh em gee #Resistance

Guess he wouldn't have voted for a Clinton nominee either, given the federal crimes in which she was implicated. Impressive consistency.

He’s putting Kavanaugh on double secret probation!

That’ll teach him! *Eye roll*
