The Washington Post has been among those who have noticed that claims made by congressional candidate and “democrat socialist” darling of the Left Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have been, shall we say, factually-challenged:
Fact-checking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez:
“Everyone has two jobs”
(Only 5.2% do)ICE required to detain 34,000 ppl each day
(False)Upper-middle class doesn't exist
(It’s grown 16%)Medicare for all is cheaper
(It would cost $33 trillion over 10 years)https://t.co/veoFEC4ppX— JM Rieger (@RiegerReport) August 11, 2018
Ocasio-Cortez isn’t happy with one other fact check in particular, and has already diagnosed the problem:
1st time female candidate makes small slip on a budgetary figure during extemporaneous interview: “This girl is SO uninformed! She needs to stay quiet until she knows everything!”
Incumbent male Congressman brings a snowball to Congress to “disprove” climate change: ??♂️ https://t.co/ApKiqnEPQp

Ocasio-Cortez is referring to Kansas Sen. Inhofe, who is a man, which must mean people pointing out her falsehoods are sexist, or something.
“Just last year we gave the military a $700 billion budget increase, which they didn’t even ask for.”
—@Ocasio2018Except that $700 billion is the *total* military budget, not the *amount the budget was increased by*. Not a “small slip” — you were off by ~$700 BILLION.??♂️

Maybe that constitutes a “small slip” in terms of socialist math.
1) I respect your hustle & drive
2) Your economic/financial knowledge is not strong, not based on gender or that slip, but on everything else you have said
3) Go check out what they did to Sarah Palin when she fumbled the answer to what newspapers she readWelcome to politics. https://t.co/pSKpSVQ7eN

But at least Ocasio-Cortez didn’t accuse some fact checkers of catcalling — at least not yet. But “one slip”?
It's more than one slip: pic.twitter.com/uyh3HPqSDP

There have been numerous “slips.”
Gaaahhh come up with some new material ffs https://t.co/jtDUbfLUhw

This one enjoys playing the poor, put upon female card. What happened to empowering women? You're not scoring any points. https://t.co/SEJ5lkv6Ox
