Change is coming to the #Oscars. Here's what you need to know:
– A new category is being designed around achievement in popular film.
– We've set an earlier airdate for 2020: mark your calendars for February 9.
– We're planning a more globally accessible, three-hour telecast. pic.twitter.com/oKTwjV1Qv9

Charlie Daniels had a simple suggestion that will probably fall on deaf Hollywood Resistance ears in the era of Trump:
Its funny, the Governors board of the Academy of Motion Pictures is floundering around trying to figure out why their Oscar ratings were so terrible last year and what do do about it this year.
Suggestion- make it an awards show again, not a boring predictable political rally.

This year’s Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, was a festival of Trump, Pence & Republican-bashing.
The Annual Democratic National Convention Awards Show…..or The Oscars for short.
