Thursday afternoon, President Trump alerted White House reporters that an announcement would be made that same evening in regards to North Korea and South Korea. The subsequent announcement was this:
South Korea says Trump will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un by May, and that North has pledged to refrain from missile tests. https://t.co/lIqhUX2YpZ

CNN’s panel included a former Obama security adviser, who was highly skeptical of any attempt at a high-level negotiation of this nature that doesn’t involve a pallet of cash or a couple songs from James Taylor:
"There is no way that President Trump can be ready, by May, to have a high stakes negotiation on denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula, it's just impossible." – Samantha Vinograd, former senior adviser on the National Security Council under Pres. Obama, to CNN's Erin Burnett

However, CNN’s Eric Burnett closed out the segment featuring a skeptical panel by predicting part of Trump’s potential legacy if the negotiations are successful:
CNN's Erin Burnett: If Trump solves the North Korea problem he "would be going down as a great president, and there's no way around that." pic.twitter.com/xPTP0dF0fm

Wow! What a way to close out a segment — especially on CNN:
Hahaha listen to how disappointed she sounds https://t.co/wrBajgtqrV

She’s heartbroken to say any good thing about @POTUS. How very sad is that. https://t.co/1R5Gh8PLIw

You might have guessed what happened after Burnett’s remarks started circulating. Brace for Resistance hyperventilation!
@ErinBurnett – Are you freakin’ serious? This unhinged lunatic has caused the suffering and mental anguish of #DACA recipients. His defense of #racist ideology is well-documented, 19 women accused him of #SexualAssault, yet you have the gall to even utter these words? #SMH ? https://t.co/BvEup5mxiU

Don't you people get it? Trump wants one thing and one thing only. He wants little rocket man to tell him how to become a dictator over America. For God's sake people, get your head out of your ass & get that idiot out of the White House. https://t.co/UiZj6eqkml

So anyway, the Resistance seems to be taking Burnett’s comment in stride. *Eye roll*
