Cornell University is spooked now that it's been named in a civil suit for not doing more to protect Jane Doe against her alleged gang rape by members of a fraternity, seven of whom have been named in the suit. As of now, social gatherings and parties at fraternities have been banned.
Tara Palmeri decided to burn hers and Jane Doe's credibility by having on as a podcast guest to talk about the Cornell Seven the infamous "Mattress Girl," Emma Sulkowicz, who carried around with her everywhere she went, including the graduation stage, the mattress on which she was allegedly raped. For Sulkowicz, it was an "art project" she titled "Carry That Weight," and I believe she even earned college credits for her art project. As I reported back in 2017, Paul Nungesser, the man accused of rape by Sulkowicz, settled with Columbia University for an undisclosed amount.

"Mattress girl" made a false accusation against another student and later made a charade that outed and humiliated him. Columbia University had to settle a demand from him for allowing and encouraging her to do her publicity stunt.
But back to Cornell. We all know the idiot woman in the green jacket caught on video screaming "Nooooooooo!" when President Donald Trump was inaugurated in 2017. After Trump was in office, I remember doing a couple of posts about people who organized events on social media where they would meet up in real life to "scream helplessly at the sky" on the anniversary of Trump's election. Supporters of Jane Doe wore something I can't identify on their heads (probably to shelter them from defamation lawsuits), held up printouts of the names of the Cornell Seven, and led a sizable crowd in incoherent screaming.

I honestly can't tell if they're so mentally unhinged that their screams are authentic, or if they need to work up a good fake scream for the performative aspect. I'm going with the latter, seeing as they're not screaming all day, every day. If it makes them feel like they're doing something, fine, but it just makes women look even weaker and less responsible for their own emotions.
