CA Attorney General Seeks 'Independent Content Monitoring of CNN' Under Paramount Merger

Twelve states, including California, have filed suit to stop the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. Liberals are upset because Paramount's CEO is David Ellison, the son of Oracle founder Larry Ellison and a donor to President Donald Trump's campaign. They're upset that CNN, whose parent company is Warner Bros. Discovery, will become another Fox News if the merger goes through.

Variety reports that Paramount has been in talks with California Attorney General Bob Bonta and could reach an agreement to drop the lawsuit as early as this weekend. According to CNBC, Reuters has said that one of the concessions Bonta sought was "independent content monitoring of CNN":

Paramount and states seeking to block its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. could settle as soon as this weekend, with independent content monitoring of CNN among the terms under discussion, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on Friday.

Yes, which "independent" body does Bonta foresee monitoring CNN's content?
