This editor wasn't going to cover this video because it's obviously old, from when CNN's Jake Tapper was pimping his book, "Original Sin," about how he and the rest of the media had completely missed the story of President Joe Biden's cognitive decline until the debate that got him pushed out of the race. However, Tapper was a little sensitive to the framing taken by Wall Street Apes in reposting it. Here's the original clip, in which Tapper says the White House was being run by a "Politburo" and then names names. Again, this must have come out after Kamala Harris lost the election, and it was safe to say.
WOAH 🚨 Lead Anchor at CNN Jake Tapper comes out and admits THEY ALL KNEW Joe Biden wasn’t really President and calling the shots
— Wall Street Apes (@WallStreetApes) August 17, 2026
He says there was an elite inner circle of advisors who would make the decisions and “steer the country.” He gives the names of the people in that… pic.twitter.com/b3A0YotCBS
The post continues:
… group
Again, the mainstream media ALL KNEW Joe Biden wasn’t making decisions
“Tell me about the word choice, and then tell me about those people who were really calling the shots around the president.”
Jake Tapper “So the Politburo, not a term we came up with, it's a term from within the Biden administration, as the name would suggest is a tightly held group of senior advisors — these were the individuals that help steer the government.”
The mainstream media was in on the coverup. How are there no consequences for these people
That's just how it works in all administrations, don't you know.
.@JakeTapper is a very irresponsible person. As are all the journalists who puzzlingly went along with this. Shameful. https://t.co/s4j2xEttQT

Tapper didn't care for the "framing" of the clip:
Nope, that’s not what I was saying — listen to what I actually say — and this clip is from Summer 2025 after @AlexThomp and I wrote our book, almost all of which was reported AFTER the 2024 election. The framing is inaccurate. https://t.co/C9ZG7Qo5km

We did listen to what Tapper actually said.
Either you knew and you pretended not to (normal people could see his obvious declined cognition) or you're not a smart person. Those are the only two options and neither are good.

“I couldn’t see what was in the face of millions of Americans for years” doesn’t help your case.
— Bob Morris Jr 🏴☠️🦅 (@BobMorrisJr) August 18, 2026
Jake, are you saying that you intentionally covering up for a president you knew to be a vegetable because you a) wanted Dems to win and b) wanted to make money off your book is MISSING CONTEXT? 😂😂😂
— Lili von Shtupp (@LvS_Redux) August 18, 2026
But what are you gonna say about your dinners with Fauci, and how you gaslit the American people? Or do we need to wait for your next book? #UnethicalHack
— PoliticalOrdure (@PoliticalOrdure) August 18, 2026
You said it was a "stutter", Jake. Sit this one out.
— WaxOnWaxOff (@jefferson66) August 18, 2026
It was difficult to see Biden’s cognitive decline when your view was from mainly the underside of his nutsack.
— Right Off the Tee (@sirshankright) August 18, 2026
Say whatever you want or frame however you want to be politically correct BUT your common sense knows the truth always.
— SpeakYourMind (@coolin_jj) August 18, 2026
He says that the White House fooled everyone in the press. They were told all of those videos were "cheap fakes."
Come on man. You didn’t even have suspicions until after the election? You gotta be kidding. Willful disbelief.
— Scott Cowan (@sc0500) August 18, 2026
Criticism is valid. It was plain to see Biden was mentally unfit. The media (you included) failed to do any serious reporting or inquiry. That was during the primary, after his election and during his presidency before the debate debacle. You and the media turned a blind eye
— FuzzNuts (@DougZ151) August 18, 2026
It’s really not inaccurate. You people gave no pushback. Americans knew Biden was a complete mess long before the 2024 election. Stop trying to gaslight Americans by saying that you had no idea until the bad debate. No one believes your BS, except your fellow BS artists.

The video speaks for itself. As Tapper says, listen to what he actually said … in the summer of 2025. The Politburo isn't something the press came up with; that came from the White House. But he didn't know that until after Biden dropped out and he co-wrote the book.
