Some people are mistakenly calling Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed (he hates it when you use his full name) the first Muslim to run for Senate, but Dr. Mehmet Oz unsuccessfully ran against John Fetterman in 2022. Oz is now the administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
We've written about Jamie Bonkiewicz before for her bonkers takes, but she thought she really had something here, pointing out how MAGA had no problem with Oz being a Muslim.
Funny how Dr. Oz being Muslim never bothered MAGA. But Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed being Muslim is suddenly a huge fucking problem.
