We've already gone over Jim Acosta's back-and-forth over "Why is a baby being detained by ICE?" DHS was more than happy to answer … because the baby's mother chose ICE detention over self-deportation.
They say to never ask a question you don't want the answer to, but Genius Tech wanted to know if this was what Americans overwhelmingly voted for in 2024 — a wife in tears after her illegal alien husband was detained.
🚨Wife in tears as ICE takes her husband after 30 years in the US

Is this what you voted for? pic.twitter.com/R5WG8VEQ7T
That's a long time to be in the United States illegally. I wish I had more context than what the wife is saying.
If I remember correctly, Donald Trump made it clear on the campaign trail that his administration would give us mass deportations. It's why a lot of people voted for him and not Kamala Harris, who we knew would throw the border wide open again and let in tens of millions more unvetted illegals. It was my major issue during the election.
You didn't see any protests or school walkouts while "deporter-in-chief" President Barack Obama was kicking out millions of illegals. It's only when Trump followed through on his promise that mass formation psychosis took over the brains of the anti-ICE agitators.
So, this is what I voted for. Is this what you voted for?
100%

He had 30 years to comply with US immigration laws. 30 years

So what’s the time limit for someone to commit a federal crime and get away with it?

You must have one.
If only he had been given enough time to become a US citizen 🙁

So, what you're saying is he's had 30 years to handle this legally, but actively chose not to. Yes, I voted for this.
— Chris Hohnholz (@Chris_Hohnholz) February 18, 2026
Yes. 100% I voted for this. All illegals must be deported.
— Brick Suit (@Brick_Suit) February 18, 2026
As I always say, liberals don't want ANYONE deported, despite their rap sheet … murderers, rapists, fentanyl dealers. They don't care. They just want absolutely nothing done about illegals. Abolish ICE, leave them alone, forget about it.
Yes.

Let me change the headline for you: Wife is upset that husband is finally captured after 30 years on the run (which he could have resolved in those 30 years). Yes it is what I voted for.
— Jason Fyk (@JasonFyk) February 18, 2026
Yes. They had a chance to self-deport. They chose this.
— AnitaMagroin 👑🇺🇸 (@QueenAnitaDBS) February 18, 2026
28 years to get it right and he chose not to. I’d suspect he feared his background has something to do with it.
— 🇺🇸ColonelMAGAMark🇺🇸 (@ColonelMark4) February 18, 2026
Yes yes, let's base all of our laws and the enforcement thereof on the emotions of women. There's a good idea.
— Battle Dwarf (@AngryBDG) February 18, 2026
Yes. Next question please.
— Bohemio of the Reeeeing Twenties (@El__Bohemio) February 18, 2026
The post has gone viral, with 17,000 people responding with, "Yes, this is what I voted for." If people have complaints, it's that the deportations aren't happening quickly enough.
