NBC News Re-Litigates Shooting of Illegal Who Dragged ICE Agent With His Car

Sarah D.

DHS even said, "This is vile" when they saw the post the Associated Press put out about an illegal alien who was shot and killed in Chicago in September. I mean, look at this:

Whose injuries does the AP want you to think were "nothing major"? The illegal alien who was shot, obviously. The heartless ICE agents shot the guy in cold blood and then said his injuries were nothing major.

Actually, it was the ICE agent who was dragged by the illegal's car who said his injuries were nothing major, caught on bodycam by the Franklin Park Police Department. He was hurt, but he brushed it off.

It's now a couple of weeks later, and NBC News' Nicole Acevedo has done a really, really long piece about the incident, taking note that the ICE agent wasn't wearing a bodycam but there were surveillance cameras in the area. And when I say really long, I mean I copied the news story into my word processor and it clocked in at nearly 2,000 words.

Acevedo reports:

[Silverio] Villegas González, a single father of two boys, was driving to work after having dropped off his sons, who are 6 and 3, at school and day care on the morning of Sept. 12, according to relatives and friends.

As Villegas González was driving his car, a silver Subaru, a white unmarked Jeep pulled in front of him, according to security video from a nearby nail salon broadcast by a local CBS Chicago. Two ICE agents are seen getting out of the Jeep. One agent approached Villegas González on the passenger side of his Subaru and the other agent on the driver’s side.

The nail salon’s security video shows the ICE agents interacting with Villegas González, who had his car’s windows down. As the agents leaned into the car through the windows, Villegas González began to back up his vehicle.

“They tried to get him, but he reversed,” said a truck driver who witnessed the traffic stop and whose trailer was later hit by Villegas González’s car, according to body camera video from Franklin Park police officers who interviewed him at the scene.

“I didn’t know what was going on,” the truck driver told officers, adding he decided to pull over on the side of the road in an attempt to get out of the way. As Villegas González then drove his car forward, the ICE officer standing by the passenger side attempted to go after Villegas González. But the other officer on the driver’s side is not visible in the video anymore, the nail salon’s security video shows. ICE agents told police Villegas González “attempted to flee in his vehicle while dragging an agent alongside the car,” the incident report states. Then Villegas González attempted to drive around the truck. “He lost control and crashed into the driver side of the trailer,” the police incident report of the crash states.

But was the shooting justified? After all, the ICE agent who was dragged by the car himself said his injuries were nothing major. "The ICE agent who was hurt was released from the hospital after receiving care for back injuries, lacerations to the hand and knee tears, according to DHS."

It sounds like the illegal alien should have cooperated. But now there are "questions" into whether the use of lethal force was necessary.

There's no embedded video on the webpage, just still shots of activists putting up "ICE OUT OF CHICAGO" signs and memorials to Villegas González.

Yep, remember the NBC News headline, "ICE Held Five-Year-Old Autistic Girl in Massachusetts to Pressure Father to Surrender, Family Says"? And it turns out the father left his 5-year-old in the car and locked himself in the house. Federal agents removed the girl from the car and gave her a bottle of water.

NBC News really does simp for illegal aliens.
