Here's Jagmeet Singh, a member of Canada's House of Commons and the leader of the New Democratic Party. Canada is due to host the G7 Summit this summer, and Singh demands that President Donald Trump be disinvited. After all, he has threatened the country's very national sovereignty by threatening to make Canada the 51st state.
It is amazing how Trump trolling Canada can trigger such a reaction. Do I care if Trump attends the G7? Yeah, about as much as I care about Democrats boycotting Trump's joint address to Congress on Tuesday.

What a tragedy it would be if Trump weren't invited to this circle jerk.
Jagmeet thinks his opinion matters.

It doesn't.
Trump will go if he wants. It's that simple.
I agree, let’s uninvite ourselves!

Who?
— Buzz Patterson (@BuzzPatterson) March 3, 2025
Canada will be lucky if it isn't disinvited from its own summit.

It's is doing so poorly, it's now tied for 2nd last in economic performance, and going backwards ! Jagmeet seems to have trouble reading the room.
How can Canada redeem itself?
Let's leave NATO too

Yes, let's leave NATO too. They can swap in Ukraine in the United States' place.

Canada has really had it with the United States under Trump. As we reported, coffee shops have stopped selling Americanos and are now selling Canadianos. I saw a tweet where a man was taking all of the U.S. imported liquor off the shelves. That's fine … they've already paid for it.
I find it really difficult to take Canada seriously. As the saying goes, "I don't think about you at all." As I wrote about in another post, a contender of Prime Minister has called for a nuclear alliance to protect against the United States, which has become a "predator" and has "threatened" both Canada and Denmark. I missed those threats.
Even if he’s not uninvited, I hope Trump decides not to go. Send some staffer not even a cabinet member.

Fine. We aren't looking to be part of your your globalist, socialist, exploitative policies anyway.

And we are half the G7's GDP, so without us it isn't much of a meeting.
The G7 lost relevance many years ago. If the US were to be excluded, that would only further the group's demise. Which seems fine, given that they primarily discuss how to squander increasing amounts of western money on climate change scams.
— Tech Transplant (@TechnoTroph) March 3, 2025
Trump should uninvite the United States' funding of the G7 while he's at it.
Wow, they really took that 51st state thing seriously.😆

No, we're not going to invade Canada, or Greenland. Relax.

For those who don't know, this is what a Canadian progressive social democrat looks like.
— Richard Marshall (@RichWr4u) March 3, 2025
Canada is so screwed.
Fine by me.

I think it would great theater to watch these tantrums unfold in real time for the next few weeks or so.
Under Trump, the United States is rethinking the value of a lot of its foreign entanglements. Let's blow off the G7, leave NATO, and kick the United Nations out of the country.
