I'm seeing the Democrats' and the media's reaction to this quote from Donald Trump and I'm immediately reminded of exactly how it felt to cover the Trump administration for Twitchy. There's this great fear on the Left that Trump would use a second term to go after his "political opponents" or his "enemies." That's why, when Trump says he'd use the National Guard or the military against "the enemy within," Democrats and the media all think he's talking about them. Here's what he told Maria Bartiromo Sunday:

As an example, crybaby Adam Schiff thinks Trump's going to send the military after him, right after he sends the Air Force to bomb "The View."

Notice how they overlook the setup: Bartiromo says that President Joe Biden doesn't think it's going to be a peaceful Election Day. And for once, Biden's probably right … look at the riots that broke out both after Hillary Clinton lost the election and on Trump's inauguration day. Trump specifies "radical Left lunatics," i.e., Antifa. And if they start burning down cities, then yes, bring in the National Guard to keep the peace.
Now Kamala HQ has pounced on the line and claimed it's Project 2025 to make it even scarier.

Kamala’s results have been terrible and her interviews even worse.
I remember covering Antifa laying siege to and trying to burn down a federal building in Portland for months. They threw fireworks into the windows to try to spark a blaze, and they shone green lasers into the eyes of the guardsmen protecting the building from behind a fence to blind them. Yes, there's an enemy within, and if they want to start trouble because Kamala doesn't win and they start rioting, hell yes, send in the National Guard.
