CBS News Warns There Are Powerful Forces (X) Spreading Election Disinformation

I'd never heard of CBS News' "nonpartisan election expert" David Becker, but it turns out he co-authored "The Big Truth" with CBS News' Major Garrett. This is the book that claims the 2020 election "was the greatest success of American democracy in history," without hyperbole. If that's true, then all the nonsense about electoral interference and voter suppression was just disinformation.

Becker was on CBS News' "Face the Nation" Sunday to warn us about the election disinformation being spread by Elon Musk on X. Western Lensman has a very good thread on the appearance.

BECKER: “We're seeing more election disinformation for sure. It's coming from, Donald Trump. It's coming from Elon Musk. It's coming from we know, foreign adversaries like Russia and Iran and North Korea and China."
“So when you see information on social media in particular, that triggers something within you that seems to make you angry about the other side. All of us as sophisticated media consumers, should pause and and say, what is? Maybe that anger is the product they're trying to create. Maybe they're getting paid or they're benefiting from creating that anger in us."
Becker is a leftwing operative posing as a non-partisan election expert — and is regularly platformed by many state-media outlets to attack their political opponents.

He's nonpartisan, but believe him when he says all the disinformation is coming from Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China. Believe me, any of America's adversaries would be thrilled to have Kamala Harris as Commander-in-Chief.

Becker is the Exec Dir and Fndr of the Center for Election Innovation & Research, former People for the American Way activist, Cal Berkeley alum, and author of the book “The Big Truth: Upholding Democracy in the Age of The Big Lie."

Just as you couldn't talk about the origin of COVID-19 or Hunter Biden's laptop, you weren't allowed to discuss any irregularities of the 2020 election. It was the most perfect election in American history and you can't question it.

This entire segment was set up to be a hit-piece on @elonmusk by CBS.

CBS devised an entire segment on their Sunday morning show to lie and discredit Elon because he supports Trump — framing it under the guise of “nonpartisan election information”
