As we reported earlier, Rolling Stone had an exclusive blockbuster … secret audio recordings of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.
Justice Alito Caught on Tape Discussing How Battle for America 'Can’t Be Compromised.' A Rolling Stone exclusive.

In a new, secret recording, the Supreme Court justice says he “agrees” that the U.S. should return to a place of godliness.

These, of course, come right on the tail of Alito's controversial flying of the Appeal to Heaven flag last summer at his beach house. As I wrote, CNN picked up on the story and used this chyron: "Alito Reveals Religious Zealotry in Secret Audio Recording."
Religious zealotry? Alito didn't even bring up God. Here's where Rolling Stone breathlessly reports that Alito “agrees” that the U.S. should return to a place of godliness.
Lauren Windsor: It’s just. I think the solution is like winning the moral argument. Like people in this country who believe in God have got to keep fighting for that, to return this country to a place of godliness.
Alito: I agree with you. I agree with you.
IRMA's bio literally begins, "LOVE MY GOD, MY FAMILY, MY LIFE!" But she wants you to sign a petition at Faithful America demanding that Alito resign from the court now.
Justice Alito was caught on tape agreeing that the U.S. must be a nation of "godliness." Join Faithful America and tell @JusticeAlito: There is no place for Christian nationalism on SCOTUS. Resign now. https://t.co/kZgEu4yetn

The petition on the "Faithful America" website reads:
As members of the Christian organization Faithful America, we are deeply disappointed by your recent comments at the Supreme Court Historical Society's annual dinner, agreeing that the United States should move to a place of "godliness." These comments distort Christianity, violate the separation of church and state, and appear to endorse an extra-judicial agenda of Christian nationalism.
We are also alarmed by the nature of two flags that have flown outside your house, directly challenging our democratic system of elections and our judicial system itself. One of the flags, the "Appeal to Heaven," is even a symbol of Christian nationalism carried by insurrectionists. You are unfit to serve on our nation's highest court, and we demand that you immediately resign.
So who exactly is Faithful America? Their "About Us" page reads:
Faithful America is the largest online community of Christians putting faith into action for love and social justice. Our members -- Catholic, Protestant, and more -- are sick of sitting by quietly while Jesus' message of good news is hijacked by the religious right to serve a hateful political agenda. We're organizing the faithful to challenge Christian nationalism and white supremacy and to renew the church's prophetic role in building a more free and just society.
Right, the kind of Christians that are angry that everyone else is doing Christianity wrong. Alito caught on tape saying, "I agree with you." CHRISTIAN NATIONISM! No one can define it, but it's now the Left's bogeyman now that white supremacy has been played out.
So, who's signing?
Good grief. 🙄

You’re allowed to be Christian and a judge. https://t.co/OfTxtvSSSZ

And he mentioned nothing about Christianity...

That's a good point. Again, he didn't even bring it up. RELIGIOUS ZEALOTRY!
The last thing anybody needs is a judge with a moral compass!

Suddenly, even God is hated. These morons are unbelievable.

We are able two days away from Alito being declared Literally Hitler.

I haven't checked to see if David French has weighed in on this "controversy," but I'm sure he'd agree that Alito isn't doing Christianity right. Matthew Dowd probably considers this a scandal as well.
You guys on the Left got this nice new shiny term "Christian Nationalism" but not one of you can or feel you have to define it. You just paint any one outside your political beliefs with it. It's as worthless as the term "racist" and "homophobe" have become. #DOBETTER
— R Arnold (@22usnretAllen) June 13, 2024
That's just what I said … it's a meaningless term and just a replacement for white supremacy. But now that everything is racist, the Left has to move on to something new.
Alito has been appointed for life. Cry harder.
