John Harwood Vouches for Joe Biden's Mental Acuity

Townhall Media

There's a lot of coping going on in the media now that Special Counsel Robert Hur's "right-wing hit job" on President Joe Biden was released. Some are trying to get the #BidenExonerated hashtag trending, and Biden himself tonight is praising himself for cooperating with the investigation. The thing is, Biden was not exonerated. Hur found that Biden willingly took classified documents even back when he was vice president. In other words, Biden is guilty. Hur just didn't recommend charges because he didn't think a jury would convict a well-meaning, elderly man with some memory issues. We've seen the photos of where Biden kept his classified materials — in cardboard boxes in his garage.

The White House communications staff is running around today trying to discredit Hur, telling everyone to look at page 384 of the report.

Exactly.

The White House can't have it both ways: If Biden isn't senile, he's perfectly capable of sitting before a jury and defending himself.

Debate moderator John Harwood for some reason talked to Biden 10 days before Hur's interviews and found him sharp as a tack:

That's the other thing: They're trying to compare this to Jim Comey and "but her emails." Hillary Clinton was just as guilty as Biden, but nothing will happen to either of them.

And no, John, I'm not watching your stupid video.

Both my mother and mother-in-law had Alzheimer's, and they had good days and bad days. My mother continually confused me with my uncle, her younger brother. But she had good days, too. It's called sundowning.

Fortunately, Biden is addressing the nation tonight to reassure us his memory is fine:

Pick one.
