As Twitchy reported Tuesday, The Atlantic featured a piece by Charlie Warzel who argued that there’s no denying that Twitter is now a “far-right social network.” As we said then, the term “far-right” is meaningless; anything liberals don’t like is “far-right” or “ultra-MAGA.”
Warzel wrote:
In December, I argued that if we are to judge Musk strictly by his actions as Twitter’s owner, it is accurate to call him a far-right activist. As a public figure, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the right’s culture war against progressivism—which he refers to as “the woke mind virus”—and his $44 billion Twitter purchase can easily be seen as an explicitly political act to advance this specific ideology. Now the site itself has unquestionably transformed under his leadership into an alternative social-media platform—one that offers a haven to far-right influencers and advances the interests, prejudices, and conspiracy theories of the right wing of American politics.
Elon Musk is a far-right activist who voted for Joe Biden. And now he’s made Twitter a “haven to far-right influencers.” Again, as we said Tuesday, if Twitter were all far-right, we’d have nothing to write about. There are millions of “far-left” loons on Twitter who don’t like it that conservatives aren’t being shadowbanned and the platform isn’t teaming up with the FBI to quash “disinformation.”
As we also reported Tuesday, CNN’s Jake Tapper broke his rule on no longer hosting election deniers by having on serial election denier Stacey Abrams. It’s pretty obvious why he overlooks her claims of voter suppression that cost her the election (twice).
On Wednesday, Tapper had on Warzel to talk more about Twitter becoming a far-right social media platform.

The joke’s on you, Tapper … under your new owners, former CNN viewers think CNN is pandering to a far-right audience.
Provocative position. 😅

😂😂 no you’re just realizing the truth about what América really wants. You faked it so much you started to believe it’s real.

No one had a problem when it was far left. Tell Charlie to take a seat

This makes no sense. Twitter is open to both the “left”and the “right” to tweet their nonsense as much as they like. But it’s really funny how because now they allow more “right wing” content, it’s somehow a “far right social network”
CNN continues to be a joke.— The Pigtator (@ThePigtator) May 24, 2023

You guys are absolutely out of your minds. You just hate it when you cannot control the words and thoughts of free people. You are shameful losers.

So totally centrist CNN turns to totally centrist The Atlantic for a fair and balanced take on what’s now become their competition. The Left just can’t stand not controlling everything.
