Just a day ago, ace journalist Aaron Rupar and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were outraged that Twitter CEO Elon Musk would retweet such a racist graphic. Rupar called it an example of “crude racism.” What was it?
It was a graph showing interracial crime incidents in 2018, with a TV camera focused on white-on-black crime, despite the fact that black-on-white crime was exponentially more common. This was posted obviously in reaction to the death of “beloved Michael Jackson impersonator” Jordan Neely on the New York City subway. We all have his name memorized … now name the white woman who was gunned down in an Atlanta hospital by a black man who was on “messed up medication,” according to his mother. Name the shooter if you can.
We haven’t checked Rupar’s or AOC’s Twitter feeds yet, but we’re certain they’ll brand Musk a racist for replying to this tweet:
Since 1968, there have been over 193,500 Interracial Murders, including:
~35,000 White Women murdered by Blacks (85.4% of Female total)
~6,000 Black Women murdered by Whites (14.6% of Female total)~145,500 White Victims of Blacks (75.3% of total)
~48,000 Black Victims of… pic.twitter.com/IZJE4FNrhW— ~~datahazard~~ (@fentasyl) May 9, 2023
There is great danger to media stoking the fires of hatred
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 9, 2023
You think? Not to mention politicians like Rep. Alyssa Pressley saying Neely was “lynched.”
There's a lot of breathless journos in my mentions going on about how this is "wrong" for various undefined reasons.
And yet not a single datum to back their complaints.
So step on up.
Prove you can even access the correct dataset.
I'll even help:https://t.co/ANcPcUk5RS

Instead of improving education in math, literacy, and science, schools are teaching kids that the way to success is to be a victim.
This is not helping the problem, but exacerbating it.

Not a good way to look at it. Doesn’t solve anything. Identifying the root cause and developing and implementing a plan for change should be the focus.

It doesn’t help by inciting racial division either. A main modality of the captured media and our federal government.
— Nioctib Modeerf (@nomlastew) May 9, 2023
@atrupar finds this very racist.

Hatred and division is what they peddle

What percentage of these murderers had guns that they bought legally?

Good question.
We’re treading softly around this subject — some people say the numbers are skewed per capita — but we admire Musk for calling out the media and its “firey but mostly peaceful” coverage.
Did you hear about this in the mainstream media? If we search Twitter for the alleged shooter’s name, the only journalist who shows up is Andy Ngo. The Post Millennial covered it:
A black man in Tulsa, Okla. has been charged with a hate crime over the murder of two white strangers. Carlton Gilford allegedly shot both in the head, execution style. https://t.co/Wsii21axGp
— Andy Ngô 🏳️🌈 (@MrAndyNgo) May 8, 2023
Carlton Gilford recently went inside a library in Tulsa and shot a man in the back of the head.
After that, Gifford went to a nearby QuikTrip store and shot another man in the back of the head.
Out of his own mouth, BECAUSE THEY WERE WHITE.

Here’s what we got when we searched CNN:
We’d love for Musk to be wrong, but the media isn’t doing much to help their own case.
