Constitutional carry is sweeping the nation and making a lot of liberals feel unsafe. We did a post a few years ago about a woman who said she’d call the cops if she ever saw anyone open carrying because she’d assume they were a bad guy. A lot of people agreed with her; “Call the police,” they said, which is ironic — a man with a gun is making you uncomfortable so call cops carrying guns to join the party. Speaking of police, one Starbucks franchise caved and asked police officers to move outside because a patron claimed she felt threatened by their firearms.
Someone should tip off these people about how many Americans have concealed carry permits — they’d never leave their homes.
Jess Piper, executive director for Blue Missouri and a staunch opponent of school choice, saw a man with a holstered handgun at a family-friendly event and did not feel safe.
Ugh…picking up my junk treasures and this guy is in line behind me. Why? Literally a junk-filled, family-friendly, Midwestern festival.
This dude does not make me feel safer. He makes me think he’s going to shoot anyone who dares to look at him wrong. Jesus Christ. Stop. pic.twitter.com/KF5tSLCMPX

You ought to get that paranoia looked at.

Exactly. If a gun in a holster makes you that afraid, that’s your issue.
Apparently you felt safe enough to stalk him

You were so afraid that you're standing 6 feet from him and took his picture….

When I think someone will kill all those around me, I get closer and pull out my phone for a pic for Twitter too!

You didn't feel too unsafe that you couldn't help being a creepy Karen. You look like you speak fluent “Let me speak to your manager”

So you have an irrational fear.
You should seek a therapist. They can help you.

I'm not certain this guy cares whether he makes you "feel" safer.
That you feel the need to judge others by appearance is no sign that your bigoted guesses are either accurate or important.

He’s not even looking in your direction, drama queen.

A family friendly event is family friendly until it’s not.
The very fact that you assume he’s going to shoot someone if they look at him the wrong way shows more about your perception of him rather than who he actually is.

Gosh I hope that gun doesn’t just hop out of that holster and start going off on its own
— Yonkaholic (@ZonkedAll) April 29, 2023
The solution: mind your own business.

Have you tried calming down?

There are some very good clinical psychologists that can help you with your deep rooted paranoia!
I recommend you find one soon before it's too late!— Gerard (still unjabbed) 😁 (@GerryMaine) April 29, 2023
There are many, many places where open carry isn't allowed. If this isn't one of them, then this is a you problem.
— pragmatometer (@pragmatometer) April 29, 2023
There are a lot of people in the replies sharing their own trauma and saying that it’s always OK to call the police if you feel unsafe.
It’s ironic: They say the reason he’s carrying the gun is because he’s afraid, but the sight of a gun sends them to the fainting couch.
