Detransitioner says instead of becoming a man she became 'a mutilated and abused version of myself'

This editor contends that it’s not transgender people who are being “erased” from society, but rather detransitioners, who are shouted down by trans people because they don’t want you to know they exist. President Joe Biden goes all-in on Transgender Day of Awareness but apparently has no awareness of people who had the “gender-affirming care” he pushes and decided when they were older that they made a mistake.

Reuters reported just a day ago that the number of children seeking gender-affirming treatment has surged in recent years — nearly three times as many children ages 6 to 17 were diagnosed with gender dysphoria in 2021 than in 2017.

Here’s detransitioner Katie Lennon testifying in favor of New Hampshire’s proposed “Parents’ Bill of Rights”:

What struck me about this is when Katie says that nobody meant to lock her in to something that caused her harm – they were all just "trying to be nice". The idea that it is a kindness for EVERYONE to lie to troubled teens about something so huge is so obviously, naively wrong.

But she certainly would have ended up dead from suicide had she not had this life-saving care.

Even at 18 girls, who supposedly mature faster emotionally than boys, can be convinced that life is easier as a man or that all of the problems of immature life can be escaped with a "procedure". How much worse is it for even younger girls, confused by all their hormonal changes.

Trans activists and allies would rather shout down people like this than acknowledge that the honeymoon period after getting gender-affirming care might not last into your 20s and 30s. But all of the doctors and teachers and activists think somehow that they’re doing a good thing.
