Does Anheuser-Busch have any idea who its customers are? Beer drinkers love the Budweiser Clydesdales. A lot of beer drinkers didn’t like Bud Light going out of its way to commemorate Dylan Mulvaney’s 365 days of “girlhood.” Video emerged of Bud Light’s vice president of marketing going on about how Bud Light had been a brand of “fratty, out-of-touch humor,” but she was going to make it inclusive and bright to attract younger drinkers. And the way to do that was to have a caricature of a woman be the face of the brand.
The Washington Times is reporting that Budweiser Clydesdales events have been canceled over “security concerns” due to the backlash against the Mulvaney videos.

Horses**t.
The Clydesdales are revered and looked upon as much-loved city icons. This is just Budweiser trying to act like a victim. https://t.co/7TxSEPvbD6

Perfect.
One of the new excuses from progressives to not have to face the consequences of their poor decisions & actions, "security concerns".
Plays right into the "right wing violence" lie. A lie taking advantage of a lie.

Pfft. Please. No one would harm them, AB is just playing the victim card.

Exactly. What a joke. This move just makes people even MORE pissed off at AB

No one is threatening the horses. Anheuser Busch is further alienating their (former) customer base with this insinuation.

Is it slightly possible they don't want to spend money only to have the low attendance further the idea that they're bleeding out as a company? Would be bad optics for sure.

"Examples of the backlash include country music star John Rich pulling Bud Light from his Nashville bar because it wasn’t selling"
This is viewed as a violent threat?

Concern over the security of executive bonuses.

Good. Budweiser should withdraw from the public sphere until their marketing VP is fired and the CEO resigns. The new CEO can reopen the company with a view for their old customers.

Why don't they just use large dogs with fur boots?

That based marketing chick really screwed up the brand….

No one cares about them and there is no need for them to feel unsafe.
Fact is no one is going to drink their beverages anymore and that’s that. Nothing they can do to change it, other than coming forward and say they were wrong— TruthHurts (@sSleepyCats) April 12, 2023
Bud Light’s Twitter feed has gone dark. Maybe come up with some sort of “we screwed up” statement and post it, just to see if they can lure anyone back?
