Rob Reiner isn't shocked that both Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis have sided with Russia

As Twitchy reported, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson asked every potential Republican candidate about their stand on Ukraine. Donald Trump said that if he were president, Russia wouldn’t have invaded Ukraine, and he’s probably right. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took an “America first” stance, saying “we cannot prioritize intervention in an escalating foreign war over the defense of our own homeland, especially as tens of thousands of Americans are dying every year from narcotics smuggled across our open border and our weapons arsenals critical for our own security are rapidly being depleted.”

Neither man wants to turn this proxy war into a real war between the top two nuclear powers, which we suppose means they’re siding with Russia.

What did Reiner think of the Obama administration, which refused to send defensive weapons to Ukraine when Russia invaded and Bloomberg even reported that the White House advised Kiev to stand down when Putin took Crimea. The Obama administration’s big push for peace was to hold up signs with the hashtag, #UnitedForUkraine.

Reiner must be happy with President Joe Biden, then, who has a blank checkbook and says we’ll stick with Ukraine as long as it takes.
