We kind of love J.K. Rowling. She has f**k you money and knows she can do and say what she wants without fear of being “canceled.” As we reported, she recently opened with her own money a shelter for females only … trans women, look elsewhere; this is a safe space for biological females.
Her existence as a TERF has led some to post videos of themselves burning their “Harry Potter” books on dad’s barbecue grill. Rowling tried to set straight one tweeter who said it was OK to keep your existing collection, but supporting something like the upcoming “Hogwarts Legacy” video game is “harmful.”
Deeply disappointed @jessiegender doesn't realise purethink is incompatible with owning ANYTHING connected with me, in ANY form. The truly righteous wouldn't just burn their books and movies but the local library, anything with an owl on it and their own pet dogs. #DoBetter 1/2 pic.twitter.com/LqANqab8Km

And as for this, I'm appalled. This individual actually advocates reading the books because "nobody needs to know". All fine and dandy until you get drunk and accidentally quote one, sonny. "I never did it in public" won't save you when the police see your Hufflepuff socks. 2/2 pic.twitter.com/QTQOTfpjtA

Anyone else super pumped about Hogwarts Legacy? Bummer that it got delayed but that just makes me more excited because they are really dialing in on it. Also, humans should be able to think what they want, support what they want, and buy the video games that they want.

The more I see people say that stuff, the more Potter things I want to buy

I can’t wait to buy the game. I own every book and audio book written by you and will continue to do so 😍

Honestly, can't wait to play it

I’d best get rid of my garden broomstick then.

I might buy 2 copies of the game to compensate for Jessie not buying it

I'll support anything associated with your amazing world of magic. Your imagination has created a world that has inspired so many children and adults. So thankful for you and what you do ^_^

I have 2 of everything. I’ve gotten lots of hate for loving your creation. People seem to conflate 🤷🏽♂️

Don't forget to warn people that 1st editions are particularly harmful and should not be burned, in case they release toXXins into the air.
I offer a free disposal service for any concerned owners, they just need to DM me for my address. I'll even pay for postage.— Andrew R (at)excelpope(at)m****don(dot)world (@ExcelPope) December 17, 2022
I really wish someone could explain to me how someone having a differing opinion is "harmful". I just don't get it.

I went round the Edinburgh charity shops looking for your books. Every single lovely young volunteer I asked lit up with happiness when your name and Harry Potter was mentioned. Blue hair or not. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

I think I will buy Hogwarts Legacy just because of these people.

We better cancel everything you ever mentioned in the books. Cars, cats, the news, Christmas, London, trains, Scotland, pumpkins, muggles…
So many things to cancel.— Lady Eileen Brent 🌼 (@erkstagwitch) December 17, 2022
Librarian here. No matter how many copies we have, the books, ebooks and audiobooks are always out. Often replaced due to wear! Still one of the best series to get modern kids hooked on reading. Love them and you. Thank you ❤️

Another librarian here, over 25 years since publication of the first HP book, and JKR is still in the top ten most borrowed authors in my library.

I won't even let my cousin Harry come to dinner.

Good for you.
