Here’s a last-minute challenge to the Supreme Court in Pennsylvania that will probably ensure it will be days if not weeks before they declare an official winner in the Pennsylvania Senate race between John Fetterman and Dr. Mehmet Oz. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Fetterman campaign is filing suit to have mail-in ballots with no date or the incorrect date counted.
The Inquirer says that “there will be likely tens of thousands” of such ballots. But we’ve been assured that mail-in voting is perfectly secure.
BREAKING: John Fetterman's campaign is suing Pennsylvania election officials to have mail ballots with no date or the incorrect date countedhttps://t.co/Dj8F10lv6n

In case you missed it, Pennsylvania's Supreme Court ruled last week that elections officials should not count misdated ballots. John Fetterman is down in the polls and are now suing to have thousands of more ballots counted than otherwise would be.

Now that he's losing in the polls…

I thought the PA Supreme Court already ruled on this.
— kathy (@PetzKathy) November 7, 2022
It did.
The Supreme Court ruled on this as well.

Why can't their vote harvesters get the dates right?
— Erik (@winefishdawg) November 7, 2022
Probably the batch they let Fetterman fill out.
— Be Steel My Heart (@Girl_0f_Steel) November 7, 2022
To be fair to Fetterman, this probably includes his own ballot
— Max Meyer (@mualphaxi) November 7, 2022
Weird that they would assume all of those votes are for him. No, it's really not.

That’s against state law. Isn’t going to happen.
— Cari (@CariRickman) November 7, 2022
Now we know why they’re saying it will take days 🙄
— Allen Miller (@BibleAndASong) November 7, 2022
How do they know that those would go more in favor to them?
— sirkrik (@sirkrik) November 7, 2022
Yeah that isn’t sketchy at all.

Suing for something the Supreme Court already shot down. Grandstanding move that's going nowhere.

Good thing he’s doing it now and not after seeing results he doesn’t like
— Ben Rudin (@benrudin) November 7, 2022
We will never have normal elections again
— VCrow (@VinnytheCrow) November 7, 2022
The problem is two fold: Not all counties make the same effort to “heal” mis- or un-dated ballots; & there can be doubt about if they were really received before polls closed.
— Raybury (@raybury) November 7, 2022
Ah yes, “healing” ballots by taking them back to the voter to allow them to fix the problem with the date.
Let the shenanigans begin

Desperation is a stinky cologne.

This is exactly why many on both sides of the political arena continue to lose trust in our free election process

How do they know to anticipate a significant number of no date and wrong date ballots to even be concerned about? Inside info?
— Capt. Drew (@DrewScarpa) November 7, 2022
They don’t know how many ballots they need yet to make up the difference.
