MSNBC's Chris Hayes wants to know if they're going to pull this 'disgusting stunt' with Cuban asylum seekers

We already did a post on MSNBC’s Chris Hayes reacting to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flying two planes of about 50 illegal immigrants into Martha’s Vineyard — Hayes said it was “deeply deeply sick and dehumanizing to fling human beings somewhere vindictively.” Really? Sick and dehumanizing? Go cry into your sweater some more.

A day later, Hayes is still appalled at this “disgusting stunt” being pulled by DeSantis and wants to know if they’ll do the same for Cuban asylum seekers. Cubans already have asylum if they manage to reach land, but last summer, President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas made it known that any Cubans fleeing to the U.S. by boat wouldn’t be welcomed to stay but rather would be sent to third countries.

Sounds kind of like Vice President Kamala Harris saying, “Do not come.” Of course, if a Cuban were to cross the border on land into Texas, he’d be fine.

If Hayes is so worried about the fate of Cuban asylum seekers, maybe he should have a word with the Biden administration.

Mayorkas said the same went for Haitians, so they’d be sent to third countries — not by DeSantis, but by Biden’s DHS.
