Here’s another thread from Christopher Rufo that we had to check to make sure it was new and we hadn’t already reported on it. Back in April, Rufo revealed that the Evanston/Skokie School District has adopted a radical gender curriculum that taught third-graders that white European colonizers imposed their Western and Christian ideological framework on racial minorities and “forced two-spirit people to conform to the gender binary.” The classroom text reads, “Colonizers had xenophobia towards the Indigenous way of being, and because they did not understand two-spirit people, they forced them to be someone they weren’t.” So the white man imposed the gender binary on indigenous peoples.
The reason we checked back is that it looks like Portland Public Schools are teaching the same thing. The gender binary didn’t exist until white European colonizers forced it upon native peoples.
SCOOP: Portland Public Schools is now teaching elementary school students to subvert the sexuality of “white colonizers,” acknowledge that girls can have penises, and begin experimenting with “ze/zir” pronouns and exploring “the infinite gender spectrum.”
Here's the story. 🧵

The new curriculum translates the principles of academic queer theory into K-12 pedagogy. The premise is simple: privileged heterosexual “white colonizers” have created an oppressive “gender binary” in order to exploit racial and sexual minorities. pic.twitter.com/GZWNYVOqdj

“Gender is colonized.” Also, “gender is a universe!”
Beginning in kindergarten, teaches give anatomy lessons with graphic drawings of children’s genitalia. The lessons refer to “person with a penis” and “person with a vulva,” because some girls have penises and some boys have vulvas. “Any gender and kid can have any type of body.” pic.twitter.com/6oOgQbVdjO

Ah yes, the “person with a penis” and the “person with a vulva.”
In first and second grade, students are introduced to basic queer theory. “Many people think there are only two genders, girls and boys, but this is not true. There are many ways to be a boy, a girl, both or neither. Gender identity is about how you feel about yourself inside.” pic.twitter.com/IqrdjqIaVu

Teachers tell students they can “change their name to match who they are, like their gender, culture, or just what they like better.” They can adopt synthetic sexual identities and experiment with “they/them” and “ze/zir” pronouns. “Only you can know what your gender is.” pic.twitter.com/dyd4ApwAxz

In third through fifth grade, it’s pure queer theory. “The culture, systems, and assumptions that everyone is straight and cis is called cisheteronormativity.” This system is a form of “oppression” designed to benefit “white straight cis boys” and to punish “LGBTQIA2S+” people. pic.twitter.com/8Nxy1Dridb

“… the culture, systems, and assumptions that everyone is straight and cis is called cisheteronormativity” and it’s bad.
Teachers are encouraged to eliminate the terms “girls and boys,” “ladies and gentlemen,” “mom and dad,” “Mrs. Mr., Miss,” and “boyfriend, girlfriend,” and make sure to include information about how to “pause puberty” and use “hormones and/or surgeries.” pic.twitter.com/gX3sA0nSVP

By the end of fifth grade, the curriculum explicitly asks students to become political activists make a “commitment to change,” according to the dictates of queer theory. Students receive a list of six commitments: pic.twitter.com/viQkIhTyOn

“I commit to watching and reading books, movies, and TV shows that have LGBTQIA+ characters.”

When I left there in 2014, PPS had a 33% high school graduation rate.
I'm sure this will help.

Huge red flags all over this.
So. Very. Wrong.

Making children create worlds of fantasy around them so that they never become adults.
What could go wrong?

This is pure evil meant to destroy the fabric of our society. It is an evil attack on the minds of our children and must be stopped.

There needs to be a mass exodus from that school district.

So now we have the red flags of critical race theory and queer theory to look out for in education. You’ve got to get to the kids early before they become cisheteronormative and think that being either a boy or a girl is “normal.”

Update:
UPDATE: Following my exposé of the district's radical queer theory curriculum, Portland Public Schools' "K-5 health" program administrator Susannah Lightbourne-Maynard is now furiously deleting all of the documents from the internet. But it's too late: I have all the receipts. pic.twitter.com/7RdtplFvXU
