We’re not hearing a lot about this “good guy with a gun” story in the mainstream media โ the bigger news seems to be that this hero was carrying in a mall that was a gun-free zone. And if there were no guns at all โฆ nobody would need one. We’re now learning that Eli Dicken managed to take down the Greenwood Park Mall shooter in just 15 seconds โฆ not two minutes as previously reported. That’s pretty amazing.

OODA loop. When in a suddenly unfamiliar situation, you…
OBSERVE
ORIENT
DECIDE
ACTAmazing how quickly he got to step 4, in a situation with screaming people running in all directions, gunshots, making sure there was nobody behind his target, and a major adrenaline dump. /1

In this situation, shooter was already at step 4. By returning fire, which shooter didn't expect, he put the shooter back at step 2. Shooter probably had to pause to re-orient, giving control of the situation to the hero. /FINhttps://t.co/SK0YJY0vGL

Bad guy was shot 8 times. That is 80% hit rate (total 10 rounds sent) at 40 yards.
Good Samaritan Eli Dicken exceeded all expecations and should be highly commended for his actions.

The kid is an absolute hero! Imagine how many lives he saved. Wonder if the Biden administration will applaud the young man. Doesnโt play in to their anti @NRA narrative. He deserves to be honored at the highest level.
