Rep. Adam Kinzinger says Rep. Lauren Boebert's view of religion and the state is no different than the Taliban

Here’s Rep. Adam Kinzinger trying once again to reclaim the throne of dumbest congressman on Twitter from Rep. Eric Swalwell. Kinzinger’s been whining a lot, and hearing Rep. Lauren Boebert say that “the church is supposed to direct the government” has him claiming that her view of religion and the state is no different than that Taliban.

The Hill reports:

In a Sunday speech at the Cornerstone Christian Center in Basalt, Colo., ahead of her primary election on Tuesday, Boebert argued that “the government is not supposed to direct the church,” saying that dividing religion from the system of government was not what the Founding Fathers intended.

“I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk — that’s not in the Constitution. It was in a stinking letter and it means nothing like they say it does,” Boebert said, earning a round of applause from the audience.

Agree with her or not, it’s true that liberals have no idea what “separation of church and state” means, going by all of the moaning and wailing when the Supreme Court ruled that Maine’s tuition assistance program must cover religious schools. Even Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote that the separation of church and state was crumbling.

But yeah, the Taliban.

Disagree with Boebert all you want, but saying her remarks show no difference from the Taliban? Be serious for a minute.
