You know what else is a HUGE night in Washington? Nerd Prom, when journalists play dress-up and maybe bump shoulders with Hollywood celebrities. But we’re talking about the January 6 select committee’s prime-time hearing, and we’ve been promised all sorts of fireworks. To our eyes, things are creeping along pretty slowly and we’re not sure where the money went to jazz this up for TV.
CNN’s Chris Cillizza, however, declares this “a HUGE night in Washington.”
This is a HUGE night in Washington. Get ready.

Dude, no one in America cares except you bozos in DC

Washington, yes.
The entire rest of the country? No. https://t.co/w20iR210IX

Kind of reminiscent of the old soviet style political trials. And Chris is in the front row drooling

I think this is the point, and the reason it’s way overhyped. Few people between the coasts, who are paying $5 or more per gallon and inflated grocery store prices, are tuning into this. I’m the opposite of a Trump defender but this is an exercise by DC *for* DC.

Did you know gas is 5 bucks a gallon here?

Yes, all you media types will be feverishly fapping yourselves watching this absurd episode of Kabuki theatre.

It's so huge that most of the country isn't even paying attention to it.

You all at CNN jumping on Zoom to celebrate Toomey style?
— Brian G (@bcgalloway71) June 10, 2022
Get ready for what 🤷♂️
— Ohio AnCap+ (@ohio_ancap) June 10, 2022
True. Stephen Strasburg has returned to the Washington Nationals.

You need to get a life.

Key words: in Washington. Outside of DC, no one cares.

Honestly, what happened to the TV producer they hired? Rep. Liz Cheney is just droning on telling us what we’re going to see in future hearings. We’re not impressed.
