This editor hasn’t watched enough of the “Star Wars” movies to know who Jyn Erso is, but if I did, I’d have total clarity on what’s going on on the ground in Ukraine right now. Matthew Dowd, former candidate for Texas lieutenant governor, has drawn an analogy to “Star Wars” that fits in one tweet and makes the whole thing “perfect clear” and even leaves it to you to pick your side.

Let me make this perfectly clear. Putin is Emperor Palpatine. The Ukrainian people and all those who stand up for democracy around the world and here in America are Rey Skywalker, Jyn Erso, and the Rebel alliance. Pick your side.
