Twitchy did a post earlier today of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau emerging from his COVID bunker to disavow the hateful truck convoy that converged on Parliament Hill to protest vaccine mandates and lockdowns. Trudeau said he had no problem participating in protests that didn’t promote “hateful rhetoric” and encourage “violence against citizens” — Black Lives Matter protests being the perfect example.
Trudeau popped up on Twitter as well, and unless we’re mistaken, we’ve not heard him say anything positive at all about citizens gathering to protest what they think is an injustice. This was just a “small, fringe minority” expressing their “unacceptable views.” They were hateful and anti-science to boot.
Here’s yet another scolding from the prime minister:

Why is it so hard to discuss and address the core message of the protest? Why keep mandates at this point when transmission is not resolved, 50% of ICU are vaccinated, and the societal frustration is boiling? Where is the big picture risk/benefit discussion?
