CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen declares that cloth masks 'are not appropriate in this pandemic'

We’re old enough to remember when Dr. Anthony Fauci and the other experts were telling Americans not to wear masks. A while after that, they started pushing the idea of wearing two masks: both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were double-masked this April when meeting with the Japanese prime minister. The New York Times reported in January that Biden and “some science-savvy senators” had begun to double up on masks. Then double masks quietly went away.

As Twitchy reported, CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen gave up the game a week ago when she admitted that “cloth masks are little more than facial decoration.” She walked that back a bit, saying that “everyone, including children, should be wearing at least a 3-ply surgical mask.”

Here’s Wen again, declaring that cloth masks “are not appropriate in this pandemic.”

And yet Biden wanted to mandate masks for the whole country.
