We’re following the Jussie Smollett trial via Matt Finn of Fox News, but even through his tweets, it’s almost impossible to ascertain what Smollett’s defense is, although he maintains his attack was not a hoax. There are some gems scattered among the testimony though. Smollett, who says he has a permanent scar under his eye from the attack, testified that his face is “very important” and that it was vital that his “Empire” character looked like black Cary Grant.
