This is odd. As Twitchy reported earlier, the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin seems psyched that Beto O’Rourke could win his bid to be the next governor of Texas. Usually, her colleague Max Boot is right in league, but instead, he’s writing about how terrified he is that Democrats will lose in 2022 and 2024, thus ending our democracy. He’s never been more worried about the future of our country, except for the last time he was this worried about the future of our country.
You realize these are the two the Washington Post keeps on the payroll to provide conservative “balance” to the opinion page, and they’ve done nothing but root for Democrats for years now.
I’ve never been more worried about the future of the country than I am today.
I am terrified that Democrats will lose in 2022 and 2024 — and that as a result we could lose our democracy.

Glenn Youngkin’s victory really has them on edge.
I'm so sorry this is happening to you

So, Americans should vote for Democrats or there is no democracy?

"I am terrified the voters of the country will vote for people I don't like in a democratic election, thereby dooming democracy."
These people should be laughed at. https://t.co/7QqrFgqcph

The idea that the opposition to Max Boot's beliefs winning elections is so abhorrent to him he declares it the end of "democracy."
Actually, the people electing who they wish to lead them is the definition of "democracy." Doesn't take long to look it up, Max. https://t.co/6OJ52r45Aq

So you're afraid that, by your own democratic process, that you will lose your…democratic process?
Look, not gonna lie, you deserve to lose it. We understand what you really want – a one party system, dictatorship, authoritarianism; whatever flavor you want to call it. https://t.co/L5RoRpNrmg

Wonder if their policies have anything to do with it?. Nah that can’t be it.

Maybe some day, Max Boot will tell us why he left the Republican party. https://t.co/W2cpC5S0X2

How do they get paid for writing the same stuff over and over again? Is it a monthly pay, or per article, or word count without any regard for rehashing the same material? https://t.co/3qYZ4D5CFy

So it turns out that a party of losers welcoming the biggest losers in the Republican party into its "big tent" wasn't the formula for becoming winners.
Who could've seen that coming? https://t.co/haGAzX3ifB

Boot being terrified is a great sign that America will get turned around in 2022.
