As Twitchy reported, earlier this month, the National School Boards Association asked the Biden administration to get the federal government involved, citing threats against teachers, administrators, and school board members, saying that some parents could be guilty of domestic terrorism and asking that things like the PATRIOT Act be used to stop them. The administration listened, and within days, Attorney General Merrick Garland sent a memo to the FBI directing it to coordinate with local law enforcement.
AFT president Randi Weingarten claimed in a tweet that right-wing politicians who criticized the memo were defending violence against teachers and school board members, and Judd Legum has said that parents’ “sudden interest in school boards” is just an astroturf effort “orchestrated by seasoned right-wing political operatives.”
Corey A. DeAngelis of School Choice Now recently posted a list of state school boards that have distanced themselves from the NSBA since its “domestic terrorism” letter:
17 state school boards associations have now distanced themselves from the National School Boards Association:

Martín Quezada, an Arizona state senator and school board member, sent out a rallying cry to progressive school board members, telling them to stand strong against the radical right wing, which ain’t hesitating to do the opposite of protecting educators. Note that he addresses only progressive school board members.
Progressive School Board Members, we need to stop being afraid to take stands that protect our schools, educators, students and communities. The radical right wing sure as hell ain't hesitating to do the opposite 👇🏼. I support the @NSBAPublicEd and the @AzSBA's membership. https://t.co/d2VSsNplPx

You mean like continuing to cover up rapes and assaults that occur in your school buildings?

“Right-wing radical” apparently now means believing in:
1) Equal protection under the law
2) Fighting discrimination thru non-discrimination
3) The sanctity & legal primacy of the family unit & parental responsibility of their children
4) Free speechSounds like liberalism 🤷

Imagine thinking it’s just the “radical right wing” parents who do not want their children indoctrinated with curriculums saturated in CRT, gender theory, and queer theory. Surely that can only be the Russian-sponsored Nazis, amarite?

Radical right wing 🤦🏻♂️🤡 Marty desperately pandering. Make sure you get in those buzz words/phrases. You must be one of those who believes govt is better for kids than parents.

Parents are part of the community and they want a say in their children’s schooling. You consider that an attack and did not include parents in the groups that need protecting. You are the problem.
— Assi Sousana (@AssiSousana) October 17, 2021
Then you are the problem. Parents no longer trust you with their kids due to the warped and divisive agenda you are pushing

Speaks volumes that students weren’t the first thing you were concerned with. More so that you place buildings and public servants over the public.

Whay aren't students the only thing on the list to protect, never mind being listed third?
— Howard Wall 💰📈📝 (@HJWallEcon) October 16, 2021
I notice you put protecting students third, after schools and "educators."

If politicians paid attention, they’d know it’s not just “radical right-wing” parents who have taken an interest in what schools are adding into their curricula.
