Yelp might think it’s helping consumers, but a few businesses are about to be destroyed online when the company rolls out a new feature that allows users to search for businesses that require proof of vaccination for entry. The move was announced Thursday by White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients, who’s doing a bang-up job, by the way.

I don't think he's ever used Yelp. This will not go well. https://t.co/ZxJh2Zp2uI

Review bombing on Yelp over vaccines is going to look like Hanoi circa 1966.

😂😂 This should drive up business.
— B.L. (@bing2212) August 5, 2021
Maybe we could get a QR code to prove vaccination, too.

Will I need to get my Vaccine Card Number tattooed on my forearm?
— scottg (@scottgnola) August 5, 2021
Will I have to show my government issued ID along with my proof of vaccination to enter a privately run establishment? Or can I just show up like we do at the polling places on Election Day?
— CK (@RamosOverVVD) August 5, 2021
So you need an ID to eat out, but not to vote. awesome.
— Zaggs (@Zaggs) August 5, 2021
If you’re that f**king scared to go somewhere where there might be an unvaccinated person, you probably should just never leave your house again lol.
— Marissa (@marissaa_larkin) August 5, 2021
Absolutely no business that wants to keep a good Yelp review will do this
— Becky With Alright Hair I Guess (@_basicbecky) August 5, 2021
I don’t think this will end well for businesses requiring that.
— Brandon (@BuhrandonL) August 5, 2021
Putting this on Yelp is perhaps not going to turn out the way they think it will….
— James Wahoo (@RichmondWahoo) August 5, 2021
I look forward to that feature on Yelp. It will help me avoid businesses that discriminate and actively work to divide by pitting one group against another.
— R4Nd4LL_b (@R4Nd4LL_b) August 5, 2021
So we’ll be able to post Yelp reviews for businesses that discriminate against minorities and children?
— Susie (@SoCalSister22) August 5, 2021
No chance this will backfire. Definitely not.

About to be a LOT of one star reviews.
— Manny Fern (@fern_manny) August 5, 2021
Can wait to see how this plays out, lol.
— Michelle Obama's Penis (@MichObamasPenis) August 5, 2021
Those businesses better shut off the reviews function. These morons clearly have never used Yelp before lol
— Ryan the rebel millennial (@patriotic_giant) August 5, 2021
I will gladly use this feature to filter out any business who opts into this
— Psyche's Dagger (@PsychesDagger) August 5, 2021
This could be a useful predictive model for finding going-out-of-business sales.
— David Klang (@dsklang21) August 5, 2021
@Yelp definitely doesn't want this.
— ray (@tr3ysm) August 5, 2021
Yelp is awesome, I use it all the time when I am looking for a place for my MySpace buddies and I to drink a few beers and play Dungeons and Dragons.
— DOA Defenders of America (@DoaAmerica) August 5, 2021
I hear the Biden administration is working with AOL and MySpace on something that’s REALLY the bees knees
— Doctor Why (@_DoctorWhy) August 5, 2021
These businesses had better turn off reviews.
