AL.com reports Wednesday on an “emotional Facebook post” by Dr. Brytney Cobia, a hospitalist in Birmingham, Alabama who tells her dying, unvaccinated COVID patients that “it’s too late” as they beg her for the vaccine.
“One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late.” https://t.co/xFQoMYrX6l

AL.com reports:
“A few days later when I call time of death,” continued Cobia on Facebook, “I hug their family members and I tell them the best way to honor their loved one is to go get vaccinated and encourage everyone they know to do the same.”
“They cry. And they tell me they didn’t know. They thought it was a hoax. They thought it was political. They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin color they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu’. But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t. So they thank me and they go get the vaccine. And I go back to my office, write their death note, and say a small prayer that this loss will save more lives.”
It is a shame they thought it was political. Maybe Joe Biden and Kamala Harris shouldn’t have been so skeptical about the vaccine during election season.
It's true. I was there. I was the endotracheal tube.

And sometimes late at night, when it’s perfectly quiet and still you can hear their cries for the vaccine.

I thought we learned our lesson about putting Covid patients on ventilators. If you’re a doctor and you’re still doing this then you have a huge malpractice suit waiting on you in the future. We have treatments for Covid already but we’re not allowed to talk about them.

So why not just give them Ivermectin (See: India) or put them on a Calcifediol (activated Vitamin D) drip? Spain did a study that revealed that revealed it had an outsized effect on fatalities.
Why is there nothing other than vaccines and intubations?https://t.co/EZZFpOCPCa

Maybe you should have instead offered them hydroxichloriquine and zinc. And maybe got them ivermechtin as soon as they presented with symptoms or better yet allowed access before contraction.

I hate to do this but, people are not intubated for COVID as common practice. I am sure it happens but is not the primary treatment because it does not help with recovery. pic.twitter.com/ZGLlufsUZ6
