UK study prompts the question, why are Americans so obsessed with constantly washing their clothes?

According to a survey of 2,000 people, one in three Brits admitted to washing their bedsheets just once a year, while 30 percent wash blankets only once a year and 18 percent admitted to washing their jeans annually. Metro, which published a story on the survey, calls the results “gross.”

That prompted a self-described “ally” with a Planned Parenthood avatar and the pronouns he/him/his to weigh in on Americans’ obsession with washing clothes.

Then the only solution is to do away with it.

So it’s a class issue? Poor Americans are obsessed with being clean, but they just can’t afford it.
